Micro-Economies Create Cool Repurposed Goods.

I was driving yesterday and was listening to MPR and they did this quick blurb on All Things Considered about this woman who hacks up old books she rescues from thrift, trash, or friends to make these really cool handbags and purses (same thing?) Now, I’ve seen these before as wallets, blank sketching books and such, but she takes it pretty hardcore and tries to match the era’s fabric with the book’s context. Take a look. Just one more example of why a shit economy can cause us to step back and get creative.
